We discussed and planned to start trying for a family on our first anniversary. As the year went on, and we booked a trip to Bali, Indonesia to celebrate our 1st anniversary a bit early to accommodate our work schedules. We decided with our anniversary approaching and a care-free vacation on the way, why not start trying sooner? Oh boy, (or girl?) were we surprised to find out that it worked! So, we had a little too much fun in Bali- and came home with a stow-away!

Finding Out; remembering the news one week later: 5/25/13
It was a sunny Sunday afternoon the day of May 19th. I was on my way home from spending the day off base with friends exploring another part of Japan. Matt was sleeping, due to the fact that he was working nights. Knowing we might have already conceived I picked up a few things; including a cute onesie from Old Navy to reveal the pregnancy to Matt, as well as a digital pregnancy test and a card to write a note in. I figured that it would be nice to have these things on hand, if not for the coming future months. I figured worst case scenario, I could re-gift the onesie! I stopped by to check on our friend's cat, as we were caring for her while they were visiting family in Texas. I decided it would be a great opportunity to take the test while there, because I could simply put everything in the Old Navy bag and tell him I was thinking of him and got him something while I was out (He wouldn't suspect a thing). Just in-case of a positive, I recorded my reaction. Sure enough, I had big news to take home to Matt! I was shaking and trying to keep my cool so as not to make him suspicious. As dinner was cooking, I insisted he open his gift I 'got him while out' and got his reaction on video as well. We are so excited to be expecting our first baby!
